Recently, Direct Drive Technology announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with China Rare Earth Innovation. The two parties will engage in deep collaboration around areas including rare earth permanent magnetic materials and robot power systems.
Through this partnership with China Rare Earth Innovation, the company is expected to further strengthen upstream magnetic material research and development as well as supply chain coordination, extending its materials-side advantages into motors and robot power systems.
If subsequent joint research and development achievements are industrialized, this is expected to further enhance the company's independent and controllable capabilities in core components of direct-drive motors, and provide support for its expansion into emerging application scenarios such as embodied intelligence and industrial robots.
It is understood that Direct Drive Technology has established three core robot technology platforms: robot power modules, wheel-legged robots, and modular assembly, along with two product lines: robot power modules and complete robots, forming a dual-driven development system from core component empowerment to complete machine scenario implementation.
According to Frost & Sullivan data, in 2025 the company's direct-drive power modules shipped approximately 8.5 million units for the full year, making it the world's first and only enterprise to exceed 5 million units in annual direct-drive power module shipments, holding an absolute leading position in market share.
