Google said there is reason to believe the certificate authorities that issued the affected certificates engaged in misconduct. Google immediately took protective measures to block the use of unauthorized certificates under its own domains. Google has proactively blocked these certificates in Chrome to protect users visiting related websites as quickly as possible.
