Prudential plc announced that it bought back a total of 782,278 ordinary shares on Oct, 02 2026 for cancellation, utilising shareholder mandates granted at its 2025 and 2026 annual general meetings.

Of the shares repurchased, 433,155 were acquired under the authority granted at the 2025 AGM held on May, 14 2025, while 349,123 shares were bought back under the renewed authority approved at the 2026 AGM on May, 28 2026.

The purchases were executed on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging between GBP 9.066 and GBP 9.242 per share. Following the transactions, Prudential’s outstanding share count remained at 2,480,354,755 ordinary shares as of Oct, 02 2026.

Under the 2025 mandate, the company is authorised to repurchase up to 262,668,701 shares and has so far bought back 126,677,145 shares, representing about 4.86% of the issued share capital at the time of that mandate. Under the 2026 mandate, Prudential may buy back up to 252,810,674 shares, with 7,509,356 shares (around 0.30% of the then-issued share capital) repurchased to date.

A moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares remains in place until Nov, 01 2026.
