THE ASK: Shutterstock founder Jonathan Oringer and his wife, Talia Oringer, have listed a slopeside townhouse in the ski destination of Aspen, Colo., for $49 million.

THE SELLER: The Oringers bought the house on Aspen Mountain for $25.5 million in 2021 from Daniel L. Hunt, whose family owns the Kansas City Chiefs, property records show. They are listing the house because they want to "expose their children to skiing around the world," Jonathan said in a statement. "We'll be back."

Jonathan founded Shutterstock in 2003. This summer, a $3.7 billion merger with Getty Images was called off.

The Oringers live primarily in Miami Beach, Fla. Last year, they sold an oceanfront home in New York's Hamptons for $57 million.

THE SPECS: Built in 2004, the roughly 6,600-square-foot Aspen townhouse has four bedrooms, said listing agent Steven Shane of Compass. The home is being sold furnished.

THE MARKET: Aspen's housing market slowed during the first part of the year after its lowest level of snowfall in decades. Shane said sales picked up during the third quarter, which had an average sale price of $11.6 million, up from $8.1 million during the third quarter of 2025.

While some have speculated that upcoming construction at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport could hurt the real-estate market, Shane said he thinks the impact will be minimal. "It's not a concern of mine," he said.
